Building Identification has long been a cornerstone of the branding and signage part of our business. Like the JLL and Ponce City Market projects, Norfolk Southern’s new headquarters is a particularly beautiful example of this.
Building Identification has long been a cornerstone of the branding and signage part of our business. Like the JLL and Ponce City Market projects, Norfolk Southern’s new headquarters is a particularly beautiful example of this.
In 2021, Norfolk Southern completed their relocation from Norfolk, Virginia, to Midtown Atlanta in a move that was years in the making. Their new corporate headquarters consists of two office towers connected by a five-story central hub on a 3.4-acre campus at the intersection of Ponce de Leon Avenue and West Peachtree Street. Pickard Chilton, HKS, and HOK designed the 750,000-square-foot LEED 4 property. The developer of the project was Cousins Properties, and it was built by Holder Construction with project management by JLL. It was Holder that selected us to fabricate and install the building identification signs.
In addition to the three 8’ 7” tall lighted high-rise logos and 3’ tall lighted channel letter building identification, we provided extensive parking flow control and painted location murals, hanging wayfinding, and ADA signage.
It was a privilege to be a part of building this beautiful landmark property on the edge of Atlanta’s Tech Square neighborhood, and we look forward to working with each member of this great team in the future, whether for building identity, or any other architectural specialty requirement.
