PEACHTREE CENTER

  • LOCATION Atlanta, Georgia
  • CLIENT The Beck Group
  • CHALLENGE Floating Installation and Unique Products

The architectural specialty work at Peachtree Center is the cornerstone of the renovations undertaken by the Beck Group and Banyan Street Capital. This historic mixed-use complex has long been the heart of Downtown Atlanta’s business, hotel, and convention district. The goal was to update the property to better connect it above ground with pedestrian traffic and to provide a community plaza and event space. Below ground, they renovated the multi-level retail and restaurant space. This underground mall was dubbed ‘The Hub’ because it serves as a convenient, centrally located destination for office workers, hotel guests, and convention goers alike..

The architectural specialty work earned the Beck Group the Georgia Chapter of the International Interior Design Association’s Best of the Best Award for Design, as well as a National Award of Merit in the Rehab, Renovation, and/or Restoration category from the Design-Build Institute of America.

It was our privilege to fabricate and install several architectural specialty components for the Beck Group to help bring their brilliant designs to life. Our contributions include the decorative color-changing lighting/sculpture suspended over the plaza’s fountains and the beautiful glass-enclosed stairway. In The Hub we contributed perforated metal wall coverings, lighted architectural accents, and branded green walls.
