LED displays and other outdoor media are central to the Atlanta Arts & Entertainment District (AAED) project. This neighborhood activation and economic development project for Downtown Atlanta was established in 2017 by the Atlanta City Council and is managed by the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District. The project fuses local art, accent lighting, and digital and static signage as well as advertising to fund cultural and public space programming in the city’s core.

Because of the extensive scope of this project, numerous contractors have been involved in building these installations throughout the downtown area. Since 2018, we have done work for several of these contractors, with more projects on the way.

Video Boards at Peachtree Center

For Orange Barrel Media:

We installed huge flex faces on the Laz parking deck at Forsyth and MLK as well as the Friendship Tower apartment building for Orange Barrel. The LED displays on and surrounding Peachtree Center and on Embassy Suites Centennial Park are our work. We installed both LED displays and flex faces on the Westin Peachtree Plaza, the American Hotel, AmericasMart, and the Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown. The two installations facing one another across Cone Street at Marietta are ours as well. We did the LED Display and large, fabricated-aluminum art panel with ‘neon’ lighting for Orange Barrel.

For Dezhu US:

The Reverb Hotel project we did for Dezhu included not only the building ID signage package but a huge vertical video board that is also a part of the AAED program.

For BIG Outdoor:

At 101 Marietta Street BIG Outdoor asked us to build and install the angled steel support structure, cut and seal the penetrations of the stone façade, and install the video boards. We also provided the other LED display at Cone Street and Marietta mentioned above for Big Outdoor.
